Kevin Booth's new definitive Bill Hicks biography 'Agent of Evolution' will be available in the UK March 21st. To celebrate this and to raise much needed money for the Bill Hicks Wildlife Foundation, Kevin will be paying a flying visit to the UK to meet with journalists and Bill fans from 11th - 24th April (exact dates tbc.) We are looking for a ground crew, local contacts who can help with the promotional tour by organizing a local venue, either a bar/club or University hall, where video projection and bar facilities are available.! Kevin will be bringing with him some fascinating Bill video material (on DVD) that will need a projection/sound system in place.The nature of the events will be as follows:1. Journalists/Q&A/book signing - lunchtime or early evening - 10-15minute video clips selection - MC introduces Kevin Q&A - 20-30 minutes - Book signing for fans - 30mins -1hr- Journalist interviews - unlimited. These sessions will last for 1 - 1.5hrs and will need a venue that has a bar and can accommodate up to 200 people. Voluntary door donations from fans of £4 will be asked for, to go towards the Bill Hicks Wildlife Foundation.2. Q&A/fans/entertainment - evening - 10-15minute video clips section - MC introduces local/popular comedian - Kevin Q&A - 20-30minutes- Book signing for fans - 1hr- 2nd rare video clips montage - 20 mins - 1.25 hrs - Poss 2nd comedian - MC intros local band. Voluntary door donations from fans of £6 (for the Wildlife! Foundat ion). These will be nights for the fans to meet Kevin and ask questions about Bill, along with top quality local acts (comic, band) who are similar in outlook to Bill. These nights would be likely mid-week events as venues tend to be able to give the venue over less at weekends, but there is nothing to prevent a venue hosting the event and then allowing other customers in later. The real bonus to these evening events is extended time with Kevin, ability to purchase reduced price books, and view rare Bill footage.

The tour is being managed by Matt Harlock of Halflife Productions, who put on the Bill Hicks 10th Anniversary tribute parties in London last year, and will be arranging the London events. The tour is also being done in conjunction with Harper Collins publicity department. We are looking for local contacts, possibly people who have been connected to the Bill 10th Anniversary events last year (which is why Kevin is emailing you - yup, eu recebi um email do Kevin e quis partilha-lo com todos vocês), to help in co-coordinating the venue, journalists, comics and bands who will make up the elements of this very special opportunity to meet and spend time with Bill's best friend and partner in many of Bill's most well known ventures.
